How Should We Be Preparing Our Leaders for the Future?

How Should We Be Preparing Our Leaders for the Future? - "In 2007, researchers at the Centre for Creative Leadership (CCL) in the United States used an electronic survey to ask 247 senior executives around the world to nominate 10 leadership trends in business. The goal of the research by Corey Criswell and André Martin was to assess the potential impact these trends, and the obstacles they create, might have on leading organisations. The 10 trends identified by the business leaders were: increasingly complex challenges; the need for innovative responses to them; an increasing need for ‘virtual leadership’ in response to globalisation; an increasing need for collaboration; increasing interruption; the need for authenticity; addressing employment needs as Baby Boomers retire; addressing leadership succession; addressing leadership for longevity; and shifting from an autocratic to a more participatory leadership."
