Technical Leadership: Thinking and Planning Strategically - Project Report, Ashleigh Campbell, Principal of Thoona Primary School - "My specific project focussed on preparation for accreditation and development of a performance and development culture at Thoona Primary School. The key personnel involved included myself, my team of staff at Thoona Primary, colleagues from the network of small schools within our region and close interaction with our school’s SEO. My role included focussing on professional development in regards to formalising a number of models taken from the technical leadership course based on the work of Brent Davies and Innoven Education and leading our school through the process. These were then taken to my staff where they fulfilled the role of assessment of themselves under the criteria of Performance and Development Culture as well as the structures that existed in each area of the school under the criteria of P & D Culture and working on them. We have developed a great working relationship also amongst our small school network and my colleagues in these schools played the role of supporting and moderating our progress under the criteria of P & D Culture. My SEO also played a similarly important supportive role particularly relating to proof reading applications and the like."
