An update from The Australian Council on Children and the Media

The Australian Council on Children and the Media provides evidence-based reviews, information and advocacy to support healthy media choices for children. ACCM is best known for its award winning online Know Before You Go movie review service and Know Before You Load app review service. Provision of these services costs $120,000/annum, they receive 35,000 visits/month and are provided to the public at no charge.

After 12 years’ support, SA’s State Government funding for ACCM’s movie and app review services ceases on June 30, and an urgent request for substitute funding to the Federal Government was refused prior to the recent elections. Without your support, the future of these services is in doubt from July 1.

You can help by making a tax deductible donation. Please click here https://www.trybooking.com/book/event?eid=490715& .

If you are not familiar with Know Before You Go [KBYG] and Know Before You Load, simply press the Movie Review button or the Apps Review button on ACCM’s home page https://childrenandmedia.org.au/ . We would also like to hear what you think of our KBYG movie reviews – the link on the Movie Review page takes you to a short survey.

Thank you for your support of ACCM’s work.
