Learning progressions and online formative assessment initiative

Education Ministers have agreed that learning progressions and online formative assessment should be a national priority initiative for education. Overseen by a Project Management Board, the initiative is currently in its discovery phase, with findings from this phase being taken to Education Council in December 2019 to inform next steps of the initiative.

During the discovery phase, a Project Management Office, which includes the three national agencies ACARA, AITSL and ESA, is investigating learning progressions and aligned assessments, developing user profiles and needs analysis and undertaking research into professional learning.
