National Allergy Strategy Receives Further Funding

The National Allergy Strategy has successfully received further funding from the Australian Government. Over the next two years, the National Allergy Strategy will receive $1 million to implement a national allergy prevention program.

The new website – ‘250K – A hub for the 250,000 young Australians living with severe allergies’ – aims to provide age-appropriate information and resources to assist young people who are living with severe allergies, and to help them to feel more connected with other teens and young adults going through similar experiences in a fun but informative way.

The website was designed by young people for young people. It is also supported by a slide set that schools will be able to access to help increase awareness about severe allergies.

The website features avatar animations which share the experiences of members of the National Allergy Strategy Youth Advisory Team.  Two avatar animations have been created specifically for launch of the 250K resources and are available via the following YouTube links here and here.

To support the Strategy, please visit and share their new website.
